Dr. Erin Stewart L.Ac. MSOM DAIM

Dr. Erin Stewart is a California State Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist, a NCCAOM Board-Certified Acupuncturist and a researcher.

She earned her Master's Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine from the Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College, Berkeley. As part of her doctoral studies, she researched a novel approach for the treatment of iron-deficiency anemia with Chinese herbal medicine.

Dr. Erin’s treatments aim to address the complex interplay of genetics, circumstances and lived experience. Prior to her studies in Chinese Medicine, she earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Public Health from Santa Clara University. She then worked for the Chronic Disease Prevention Team at Denver Health Medical Center, which deepened her understanding of the impacts of social, environmental and personal factors on health.

Her early acupuncture studies led her to Lyon, France where she became certified in Advanced Auriculotherapy (ear acupuncture), a modality with applications for treating pain and insomnia.

At present, Dr. Erin's specialties include orthopedics & sports medicine, pain management, hematology and mental wellness support. She has completed advanced training in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries and pain through Dr. Whitfield Reaves’ Acupuncture Sports Medicine Apprenticeship Program.

In addition to her private practice in Marin County, Dr. Erin sees patients at Alameda Acupuncture alongside her mentors Dr. Jenny Nieters, team acupuncturist for the San Francisco 49ers, and Dr. John Nieters, chronic and degenerative disease specialist. Beyond her special interests, she runs a general practice and offers treatment for a wide variety of conditions.

Outside the clinic she enjoys wildcrafting, camping and surfing up and down California’s beautiful coastline.
